Are you accepting new patients?
03/10/2024 At this time, I am not accepting new patients. However, I am available to consult with mental health therapists about their practice and therapy challenges. All appointments are conducted by video conferencing or phone.
What is your fee?
My fee is $330 for a 45 minute visit. Payment by PayPal is due at the time of the visit.
Do you accept insurance?
I am not a provider on any insurance plans including Medicare or MediCal. If requested, I will give you a statement that you can submit to your insurance (except for Medicare - since I have opted out of Medicare, Medicare does not allow you to bill for my services.) I request payment at the time of your visit.

How do I set up/change/cancel an appointment?
To schedule an initial appointment, please read this list of Frequently Asked Questions first, then call 858-560-5609 to request an appointment. If you are an established patient, you may schedule an appointment online here.
Does you conduct therapy by phone or videoconferencing?
Yes. At this time, all appointments are conducted by video conference or phone.
Is payment due at the time of my appointment?
Yes. Unless prior arrangements have been made, full payment is requested
at the time of your appointment.
May I pay with a credit card?
Yes. You may pay with PayPal.
How can I get a prescription refilled?
Please ask your pharmacy to fax refill requests to 844 837 1205. Or ask me during your appointment time.
How can I find out results of my tests?
I or my administrator will call you with test results. Or ask me during your appointment.
What if I have an emergency?
Call 858 560 5609 to contact me or a covering doctor. If you have a medical emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest hospital emergency department.
Who should I contact if I get sick after office hours or on weekends?

May I communicate with you and your staff using email?
Yes, if you are an established patient in my practice. Please use secure, privacy-protected messaging (HIPAA- compliant) for routine requests through https://www.sendinc.com/. You will receive a response within one business day. For urgent matter or cancellations, please call 858 560 5609.
Will I be charged for phone calls and emails?
There is no charge for brief calls / emails about administrative issues. For treatment issues, I charge for time spent on email communication and phone calls with you, just as I charge for time spent with you during an appointment.
What payments has Dr. Gardner accepted from drug and device companies?
